Hello, I hope one has a solution for my problem! I just bought the incredible Surface Pro 4 tablet. However, I cannot seem to get SAI 1.2.5 working properly.
There is simply no pen sensitivity. I also have SAI 2 (both legal versions) and that one is working just fine! I also have ClipStudio and also working fine.
Here are a couple of pencil brushes that I made for Paint Tool SAI in order to mimic graphite pencil, to install them follow these instructions*:-Extract the RAR into your Paint Tool SAI folder (install 7zip if you don't have winRAR).-Run start-sai.exe to install the textures.
The only thing that doesn't work is SAI 1.2.5. I tried a few things, like installing (trialversion) of Adobe CC, and also something I saw on youtube of copying folders from SAI2 to SAI 1.2.5. But nothing works yet!
Need advice please!:-). Sai uses the older Wintab pressure system, supplied by the tablet manufacturer, not the newer Ink/TabletPC pressure system built into Windows that many graphics programs have changed to using. For the Surface Pro 4, the Wintab system is a separate optional download, not part of the default setup.

You can download the Wintab support installer here: I have heard different reports of which version you need. I thought I had installed the 64-bit version (because, hey, 64-bit Windows) on a Surface Pro 3, but that was a year or two ago and I might not be remembering correctly, I might have ended up installing the 32-bit version. I don't currently have access to that computer to check.
I have seen others report that the 64-bit version did not work and they needed the 32-bit version to be compatible with Sai (a 32-bit program). Thanks for your reply! I did install the WinTab 34bit, and the pen pressure works, which is a great thing! However, there seem to be a problem with opening the menubar.
For some reason you can't 'open' it. Also there's a problem with the layers. Also because the sensitivity doesn't work correct. (for instance if you want to merge the above layer on the one benauth, he picks 2 layers instead of just 1) Are you familair with this issue? I have read on a reddit post that you can adjust the settings for that as well. And it still works manually, meaning you can open the menubar touching the screen, but it would be great if ALL would work!
This has happend twice. I brought a new wacom bamboo fun pen and touch a while ago. However when I tried it on Paint tool Sai, there was no pressure sensitivity.

The lines drawn looked like it was drawn using a mouse. I tried many different solutions but it was no use and so I brought another tablet today.
This one is called wacom bamboo pen. The most simple tablet, however it still did not work when i tried it on sai. This is my 4th tablet that I have brought. My first tablet was a Hanvon one and it worked perfectly fine on sai but then the plug broke and so i tried the Genius pen and mouse.
That one worked for a while. Those 2 tablets were the ONLY tablets that had pressure sensitvity on sai. I really want to use a wacom tablet for my paint tool sai artworks, but the tablets never seem to work. I now no longer have my wacom bamboo fun pen and touch. I only have my bamboo pen. I have tried the following: -removed bamboo prefrences -uninstalled and reinstalled bamboo tablet software -changed min pressure on sai to 0% -changed min size of brush on sai to 0% -changed coordinate mode on sai to pen I have researched everything on the net.
Im just really angry about why it never works. PLEASE HELP!!!!! You can no longer comment on this thread as it was closed due to no activity for a month.
